Invasion of the Jr. Associates – Customers Find Themselves Seeing Double & Asking Why.

Indianapolis, In – Thursday, April 27th was just another day in the office for some, but for parents, educators and children across the United States it was National Bring Your Child To Work Day.

A champion supporter of work/life balance, Integrity One – a local Xerox equipment and service provider, opened its doors to children ages 5 and older to provide a firsthand experience to administrative, operations, service and sales roles in a business to business setting.

“Hosting this opportunity for our associates not only allowed our organization to say ‘thank you’ to the families that support our teams, but also provided a unique hands-on learning experience for the children to build confidence, learn about business and develop basic skills that will serve them well, no matter their path in life.” noted Vice President of Operations, Paul Balser.

Throughout the day, many customers may have found themselves seeing double as several of the junior associates dressed as mirror images to their adult counterparts and participated in shadowing service calls, assisting with administrative tasks and going on appointments.

Several times throughout the day, the Integrity One team also found themselves on the receiving end of some valuable knowledge! View the “5 Lessons Learned from Our Junior Associates” video here.

“The response we received was tremendous.” Chelsea Ligoncain, Marketing Manager of Integrity One said in a statement Monday. “More than 20 families across the South and Midwest participated. Customers were excited to see the kids out in the field, pulling out their candy dishes and helping them practice their handshakes. From the early morning ‘meeting,’ to the field shadowing scavenger hunt and the afternoon mixer, we provided a hands-on day that would allow the kids to dive in head first and feel a part of the team. We look forward to hosting it again next year!”
